• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford automatic transmission electronic shift control solenoid assembly, the electrohydraulic actuator that opens and closes valve-body circuits to command gear changes in the 4R44E 4R55E and 5R55E electronic automatic transmissions. Controlled by the powertrain control module through the shift A B C D circuits, it directs pressurized fluid to apply the correct clutch packs and bands for each ratio. It fits a broad range of Ford Ranger Explorer Mountaineer and Aerostar applications from the mid 1990s through 2011, along with other light trucks and vans that share this electronic transmission family.
