  This is a genuine Ford EGR valve, catalogued by Ford as Valve - Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR Valve). It meters a controlled amount of inert exhaust gas back into the intake to lower combustion temperatures and reduce oxides of nitrogen, improving emissions performance and helping prevent spark knock under load.
