• Description:

  This genuine Ford Motorcraft engine oil pressure switch, also cataloged as an oil pressure sending unit, monitors engine oil pressure and signals the instrument cluster gauge or warning lamp. It threads into the engine block oil gallery and varies its circuit with oil pressure so the driver sees an accurate reading of lubrication system health. This switch covers a broad F-Series application, including 1997 to 1999 light duty, 1999 to 2007 Super Duty, F-150 from 1997 through 2003, the 2004 Heritage, the new style F-150 from 2004 to 2008, and Lincoln Mark LT. A failing switch causes a dropped or pegged oil pressure gauge, a flickering or constantly lit oil warning light, or an oil leak weeping from the sensor threads. As the original Motorcraft sender it provides the correct thread, resistance curve and calibration for a true reading, and the Ford catalog notes it is included with its adapter. It threads into the existing oil gallery port and is backed by the Ford and Motorcraft parts warranty.
