  This is a genuine Ford intercooler pipe, also catalogued as an intake hose, for the 7.3L Power Stroke turbo diesel in Super Duty trucks and the Excursion. The pipe carries compressed charge air from the turbocharger to the intercooler as part of the boosted induction system, routing the hot pressurized air so it can be cooled before entering the engine. As a charge-air duct it must seal tightly and hold boost pressure to keep the engine making power and running efficiently.
