This is the genuine Ford center high-mount stop light bezel, the molded cover and trim housing that surrounds and mounts the third brake light at the rear of the cab, finishing the sheet-metal opening and locating the lamp so it aims correctly and seals against the weather. Cataloged under base 13A656 as the cover for the center high-mount stop lamp, it fits 1999 through 2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks of that generation. Exposed to sun, heat, and weather at the top of the cab, the original bezel commonly fades, cracks, warps, or breaks its mounting tabs, which can let water seep toward the lamp and wiring, leave the third brake light loose or crooked, or simply look worn. Installing a fresh bezel restores a secure, properly sealed mount for the stop lamp and a clean rear-cab appearance. Transfer the lamp and gasket to the new cover, confirm the seal seats against the cab, and route the wiring so it is not pinched when the bezel is secured.
