  This genuine Ford front hood latch assembly fits the 1999 to 2007 Super Duty F-250 through F-550 and Excursion, in the early build to November 1, 2004. The latch holds the hood securely closed and releases it when the hood cable is pulled, so correct operation is important for keeping the hood safely latched while driving. A worn, corroded, or damaged latch can stick, fail to latch fully, or release improperly. This part replaces 1C3Z-16700-BA, 3C3Z-16700-AA, and F81Z-16700-AA.
