• Description:

  This genuine Ford door window belt weatherstrip, also called a beltline molding or belt seal, mounts along the outer top edge of the front door where the window glass passes through the door skin. It wipes water, dust, and debris off the glass as the window rolls up and down, seals the door cavity against wind noise and moisture, and steadies the glass at the belt line. Over time the rubber lip hardens, splits, or separates from its metal carrier, which leads to water leaking into the door, wind whistle at highway speed, a gritty scraping feel when operating the window, and streaking on the glass. This part fits 1999-2011 Ford Ranger and installs at the front right, passenger side, exterior position. Ford supersession shows it replacing earlier 2L5Z, 3L5Z, 4L5Z, and XL5Z beltline weatherstrips for the same location. Installation clips the molding onto the door flange; seat it fully along its length so the wiper lip contacts the glass evenly for a clean, quiet seal.
