• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford fog lamp bulb, a halogen capsule used in the fog and auxiliary lighting of many Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles. The bulb produces a warm white light from a tungsten filament inside a sealed glass capsule and plugs into the fog lamp housing to provide low, wide illumination that improves visibility in fog, rain, and other poor-weather conditions. As a direct-fit replacement it carries the correct base and wattage so it seats in the factory fog lamp socket. Owners replace this bulb when a fog lamp has gone dark, flickers, or has dimmed with age, when the filament has burned out, or when the glass has clouded or cracked. A burned-out fog bulb leaves uneven front lighting and reduced visibility in bad weather.
