  This is the genuine Motorcraft mass air flow (MAF) sensor, part number AFLS-195, a large-bore hot-film sensor used across several Ford lines in the 2012-2023 range, including the 2015-2023 Mustang with the 5.0L Coyote and 5.2L engines, the 2017-2020 Fusion, and the 2015-2019 Transit, which is why it is best listed as a multi-vehicle fitment rather than a single model. The sensing element mounts in the intake tract after the air filter and measures the mass of air entering the engine, feeding that data to the powertrain control module so fuel delivery, spark and cam timing are trimmed accurately across the naturally aspirated and EcoBoost engines it serves. A buyer needs this sensor when the vehicle stores P0101, P0102 or P0103, idles rough, surges, hesitates on throttle, enters a reduced-power state, or lights the check engine lamp with poor fuel economy after the element has drifted from oil film, dust or age.
