The Motorcraft YH-1662 is the genuine Ford A/C evaporator (in-cabin air) temperature sensor used by the automatic climate control system across a range of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury vehicles from roughly the 2006 through 2012 model years, which is why no single model line defines it. The sensor reports evaporator or cabin air temperature to the HVAC control module so the system can regulate blend-door position, blower speed, and compressor cycling to hold the selected temperature and to prevent the evaporator from freezing.
