• Description:

  This Motorcraft A/C refrigerant line O-ring is the genuine Ford sealing ring used at hose, tube, and fitting connections throughout the air conditioning system. It seals the joint between A/C lines, the compressor, condenser, evaporator, and accumulator so pressurized refrigerant and its lubricating oil stay contained at system operating pressure. It is a broad service item applied across a wide span of Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars, trucks, and vans from the 2008 through 2025 model years, which is why no single vehicle line defines it. A hardened, cracked, or missing O-ring is a frequent cause of a slow refrigerant leak, weak or intermittent cooling, an A/C system that will not hold a charge, oily residue near a line connection, or a compressor that short-cycles. Because the ring is single-use, always fit a fresh seal whenever a connection is opened and lubricate it lightly with the correct refrigerant oil before assembly so it is not pinched or rolled during tightening. Installing the correct diameter and durometer seal restores a leak-free connection. This is the Motorcraft catalog A/C line O-ring supplied as an exact-fit replacement for the original Ford seal.
