• Description:

  This genuine Motorcraft A/C line O-ring and seal kit supplies the rubber sealing rings used at the refrigerant line connections throughout the Ford air conditioning system. These O-rings seal the joints where the condenser, accumulator or receiver-drier, discharge hose, liquid and suction lines, evaporator tube, pressure hoses, and hose and tube assemblies bolt together, preventing refrigerant and PAG oil from leaking at each fitting. The seals cover a wide span of Ford cars and trucks and are specified as included service items with many A/C components. A hardened, cracked, or missing O-ring is a common cause of a slow refrigerant leak, an A/C system that loses charge over weeks, oily residue at a line fitting, and a compressor that eventually cycles poorly once the charge drops. These seals are single-use by design and must be replaced, never reused, whenever a refrigerant connection is opened; Ford directs lubricating each O-ring with clean refrigerant oil before assembly so it seats without pinching. Installing fresh Motorcraft O-rings restores a leak-tight seal at the serviced joint and helps the system hold its full refrigerant charge for proper cooling.
