This genuine Ford Switch Assembly Stop Light is the brake light or stoplamp switch used across a wide range of 2007 through 2025 Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars, trucks, SUVs, and vans. Mounted on the brake pedal bracket, this plunger-actuated switch closes when the pedal is pressed to illuminate the rear brake lamps and to signal the powertrain and body control modules for brake-on inputs used by cruise control cancel, the brake-shift interlock, ABS and stability control, and push-button start logic. When it fails, drivers experience brake lights that stay on or will not come on, a no-crank or no-shift-out-of-park condition, cruise control that will not set, or intermittent warning messages. A sticking plunger or worn internal contacts are typical. This Motorcraft-quality switch supersedes earlier stoplamp switch service numbers and installs as a direct replacement; verify correct plunger adjustment against the pedal so the contacts open and close cleanly. Backed by the Ford and Motorcraft limited parts warranty.
