• Description:

  This is a genuine Ford engine coolant temperature sensor, cataloged simply as a Sensor and also listed as a Coolant Temperature Sensor, used across a wide range of 2020 through 2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles such as the Escape, Explorer, Maverick, F-150, Bronco Sport, Police Interceptor Utility, Lincoln Corsair, and Aviator. The sensor threads into the coolant passage or water outlet and reports engine coolant temperature to the powertrain control module, which uses that signal to manage fuel delivery, spark timing, cooling-fan operation, and the temperature gauge reading. On some assemblies it is supplied together with the water outlet or hose and tube assembly. A failing coolant temperature sensor can trigger the check-engine light, cause hard starting, rough running or stalling when cold, poor fuel economy, cooling fans that run constantly or not at all, an inaccurate temperature gauge, and related diagnostic trouble codes. Fitting the correct genuine Ford sensor restores accurate temperature input and proper engine management.
