  This is a genuine Ford engine coolant temperature sensor, cataloged as a Sensor and also listed as a Coolant Temperature Sensor, that mounts in the cylinder-head coolant passage on 2023 through 2026 Ford and Lincoln vehicles including the Escape 1.5L, Explorer 2.3L, Mustang 2.3L, and 2.0L applications, along with the Lincoln Corsair and Nautilus. The sensor measures coolant temperature at the cylinder head and sends that data to the powertrain control module, which relies on it to control fuel delivery, ignition timing, cooling-fan operation, warm-up enrichment, and the temperature gauge.
