• Description:

  This genuine Ford vapor canister purge solenoid, also called the EVAP purge valve, is the electrically actuated valve that meters fuel vapor stored in the charcoal canister into the engine intake to be burned during normal operation, a core component of the evaporative emissions control system. Controlled by the powertrain control module, it opens and closes on a duty cycle to keep vapor purge within specification and maintain a sealed leak-free EVAP system. This purge solenoid is a cross-platform service part used across multiple Ford and Lincoln applications including the Ford Fusion, Ford Transit, and Lincoln MKZ.
