• Description:

  This genuine Motorcraft HVAC air adjustment control motor, Ford catalog part number YH-1779, is an electric door actuator that positions a temperature-blend, mode or air-inlet door within the climate control case, moving the door in response to signals from the HVAC control module so the system delivers the selected temperature and vent pattern. It is a multi-vehicle service part used from about 2008 through 2019 on Ford and Lincoln models such as the Flex, Taurus, MKS and MKT, primarily on dual-zone automatic air conditioning where several actuators manage separate driver and passenger doors. A failing unit often produces a repetitive clicking or knocking noise behind the dash, inconsistent temperature between vents or sides, or air that will not switch between floor, panel and defrost.
