• Description:

  This genuine Motorcraft HVAC air inlet door actuator, Ford catalog part number YH-1769, is the small electric motor that drives the fresh-air and recirculation inlet door inside the climate control case, positioning the door on command from the HVAC control head to switch between outside air and cabin recirculation. This five-terminal actuator is a broad multi-vehicle service part used from roughly 2004 through 2019 across many Ford and Lincoln lines, including Explorer, Flex, Taurus, F-150, MKS and MKT, on both manual and automatic climate systems. When the actuator fails it may click, buzz or chatter behind the dash, the recirculation function may stop responding, or airflow temperature and fog-clearing performance suffer because the inlet door sticks in one position.
