• Description:

  This is a Genuine Ford lower molding rivet, the push-in plastic rivet that fastens a lower body or rocker molding to the body and adjacent panels. It uses the standard Ford W-series rivet base and is a multi-vehicle exterior service part shared across many platforms rather than one model. Ford lists it as a Lower Molding Rivet, and dealer parts data also shows it as a push-pin retainer or molding rivet. When these rivets break or fall out the lower molding loosens, flaps at speed, and can tear away, exposing the panel edge to chips, salt and corrosion and leaving an open hole. The rivet is sized for a specific hole diameter so it seats firmly without splitting the molding.
