• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford manual transmission output shaft seal, cataloged as Seal Assembly - Oil, that fits at the output shaft of the B5/IB5 five-speed and B6 six-speed manual transaxles used across several Ford car lines. Verified applications include the 2004 Focus with the 2.0L engine, the 2011 to 2019 Fiesta with the 1.0L EcoBoost and 1.6L four-cylinder, and the 2013 to 2014 Fusion with the 1.5L, 1.6L, 2.0L and 2.5L engines, all with a manual gearbox. It installs on the driver-side output bore of the transaxle case and rides against the rotating stub shaft to keep gear oil sealed inside the housing while blocking dirt and moisture from entering. A worn or hardened seal is the usual cause of transmission fluid weeping down the case, an oily film on the inner CV boot or subframe, a dropping gear-oil level, and a faint burnt-oil smell after highway driving; left unaddressed it can lead to gear whine or bearing damage as lubricant is lost.
