• Description:

  This is the genuine Motorcraft Delta Pressure Feedback EGR sensor, Ford part number DPFE-145, a ceramic capacitive pressure transducer that measures the pressure differential across a metering orifice in the EGR system to tell the powertrain control module exactly how much exhaust gas is being recirculated. Ford catalogs it as the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) pressure sensor with a 1/8 inch NPTF fitting, and it is a broad cross-platform emissions component fitted to a wide range of 1990s and 2000s Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury cars, trucks, and SUVs, which is why it is offered as a multi-vehicle service part rather than one model line. The sensor connects to the EGR tube by two rubber hoses and reads the vacuum drop across the orifice; when it drifts or fails, the module can no longer trim EGR flow correctly.
