  This genuine Ford Motorcraft cap seals the drive-motor and inverter coolant reservoir on Ford, Lincoln, and Mercury hybrid and electrified vehicles from 2011 through 2025. Unlike the engine radiator cap, this cap serves the dedicated low-temperature cooling loop that keeps the traction inverter, DC-DC converter, and electric drive components within their operating temperature range, and it maintains the calibrated pressure that prevents boiling, controls expansion, and keeps that circuit purged of air. The spring-loaded valve holds system pressure during operation and relieves to the reservoir, while the return valve pulls coolant back as the loop cools so the electronics stay fully wetted.
