  This genuine Ford Motorcraft Radiator Coolant Hose Seal is an OEM cooling-system sealing ring used across 2008 through 2016 Ford applications equipped with the 5.4L, 6.2L, and 6.8L gasoline engines and the 6.4L turbo diesel V8, spanning Super Duty and E-Series platforms. It seals the coolant hose or tube connection to its mating port so the system maintains proper pressure and coolant flows without leaking at the joint. As the seal ages it loses elasticity and takes a compression set, letting coolant seep past the connection; symptoms include crusty orange or green deposits at the fitting, a sweet coolant smell, a slowly falling reservoir level, and occasional overheating under load.
