  This is the genuine Motorcraft Tire Pressure Monitoring System sensor, the in-wheel unit that measures tire air pressure and sends the reading by radio frequency to the body control module, which triggers the low-tire warning in the instrument cluster. It is a multi-vehicle Ford and Lincoln service sensor covering roughly the 2016 through 2023 model years across a range of car, SUV and light-truck lines. A buyer needing this part is generally seeing a TPMS warning light that will not go out, a telltale that flashes for about a minute at each start, or a wheel that displays no pressure value, which typically indicates the sealed internal sensor battery has reached the end of its service life. One sensor is installed at each wheel position. Ford treats current-generation direct TPMS sensors as single-use, so the sensor should not be reinstalled once removed from a tire. After installation the vehicle requires a tire-pressure sensor relearn or programming routine with a compatible activation tool so the module registers the new sensor identifier and its wheel location.
