• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford vapor canister purge solenoid, the electrically actuated valve in the evaporative emissions system that meters fuel vapor stored in the charcoal canister into the engine intake to be burned during normal operation. Cataloged as the Vapor Canister Purge Solenoid, it is a broad service part used across many 2015-2025 Ford cars, trucks and SUVs and supersedes the earlier CU5Z-9F945-C. The powertrain control module pulses the solenoid open and closed, and a valve that sticks, leaks or fails electrically commonly triggers the check-engine light with EVAP purge or small and large leak diagnostic trouble codes, a failed emissions test, rough idle or stalling just after a fill-up, or difficulty starting. Replacing a faulty purge valve restores correct vapor control and sealing of the EVAP circuit.
