  This is the genuine Ford evaporative emissions vapor canister purge valve, cataloged as Separator Assembly - Fuel Vapour and also listed as the vapor canister purge valve assembly. It is part of the EVAP system: under the powertrain computer's command it opens to let stored fuel vapor be drawn from the charcoal canister into the intake manifold to be burned, and closes to seal the system so raw vapor is not vented to atmosphere. It fits a broad range of Ford cars, vans and SUVs from about 2000 to 2011, including Crown Victoria, E-150/E-250/E-350/E-450 Econoline, Escape, Escort, Expedition, Explorer, and the F53 motorhome chassis across their common gas engines.
