• Description:

  This is the genuine Ford body mount anchor nut and lower insulator retainer for the number one body mount position, supplied as the threaded anchor that secures the cab or body to the frame through the rubber mount insulator. It is used across Super Duty F-250, F-350 and F-550, Ranger and Navigator applications and is included with the front body mount reinforcement on those vehicles. The anchor nut provides the captured threaded base that the body mount bolt draws into, clamping the insulator stack between the body and the frame rail so the structure stays located and the rubber isolates road and driveline vibration from the cab. A corroded, stripped or spinning anchor is a common problem on older and rust-belt trucks and prevents the body mount bolt from torquing correctly, which allows the cab to shift, creak or contact surrounding panels. Replacing the anchor restores a sound, torqueable mounting point. Because the anchor works as part of the complete body mount assembly, inspect the insulator, washers and bolt while the mount is apart, treat any bare or rusted metal, and torque the body mount bolt to specification on reassembly.
