This front crankshaft oil seal sits behind the harmonic balancer to seal the front of the crankshaft and contain engine oil. It fits Ford Crown Victoria, E-350 Super Duty, F-150, Explorer, Mustang, and Escape models from 1991 through 2014 across many engines. A worn front crank seal leaks oil at the front cover, leaving drips on the balancer and lowering the oil level. It carries Ford base number 6700 and is cataloged by Ford as the front crankshaft oil seal assembly.
